Online Christian Dating - So Many Websites - Where Do You Start?
The internet is buzzing with a multitude of relationship sites. Some are aimed specifically at Christians. So if you are a Christian looking to find a partner online, where do you begin? Here are half-a-dozen websites that may provide guidance.
* Christian Dating Service Reviews examines Christian dating sites: "We consider a few components including functionality, outreach and adherence to Christian beliefs. We look for sites owned and operated by Christian owners and organizations and sites that offer a large network of single Christians for you to choose from. If you care enough about your faith to pursue a partner of the same faith, obviously you don't want to be brought together by a deceitful company."
It says that "most 'Christian' dating sites are not Christian at all," and it recommends just two.
* Christian Dating Services also claims to rate the major Christian dating organizations, and it provides some general guidance, under headings that include "Christian Dating Rules," "Christian Speed Dating" and "Black Christian Dating."
* Christian Dating Watchdog "was created to tell Christian singles who are running Christian dating sites so they know where their money is going. Many people have been shocked to know, for instance, that they were members of a Christian dating site owned by pornographers. Can you believe it?" In fact, it claims that "the majority of Christian dating sites on the internet, including most of the largest and most well-known sites, are owned by secular companies."
* ChristianDatingService.com has been operating since 1999 and says it is "the oldest and most honest Christian dating review site on the internet." It recommends just two sites, and provides first-hand information about them. It also includes background information on other sites that it does not recommend, and it features articles and a list of books for singles.
* Adam Meet Eve features extremely detailed reviews of some of the main Christian dating services. This includes a table with price comparisons of what is on offer. The website also runs its own dating service, and it provides many, many pages of information for singles.
* Finally, Agape Christian Singles is "a place for single Christians online that is not just a Christian dating service or Christian matchmaker. You'll find resources, articles and forums to encourage you in your walk as a single Christian. And if you're ready to meet that special someone online, you can check out our recommended Christian dating services, where you can browse profiles of quality Christian singles like yourself."
