Christian Drug Counseling - What Does It Do?

Christian drug counseling can involve the use of spiritual means to beat a drug abuse problem - similar perhaps to the 12-step program of Alcoholics Anonymous, which calls on people to seek the help of God.

This particular organization does offer a Christ-centered 12-step approach to recovery. It also states that its professional staff consists of Christian men and women, including several pastors who themselves are in long-term recovery.

Another center is Celebrate a New Life, which is connected to California's well-known Saddleback Church. It says that it combines individual and group counseling with medical and psychological treatment:
